  • What age groups do you offer classes for?

    Sloth Academy offers classes for children ages 5–12 in the Little Sloths BJJ program, as well as adult classes for individuals of all experience levels.

  • Is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu safe for kids?

    Yes, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a safe and controlled martial art that focuses on technique rather than striking. Our instructors are experienced in teaching kids and prioritize safety and proper training methods.

  • How do I know if my child will enjoy martial arts?

    We recommend scheduling a free trial class so your child can experience the fun and engaging environment firsthand. Most kids love the challenge and camaraderie of training with peers.

  • Do you offer self-defense training?

    Yes, all of our programs include self-defense techniques that are practical and easy to learn. Whether you're a child or an adult, you'll develop skills to protect yourself in real-world scenarios.

  • What should my child wear to their first class?

    Kids can wear comfortable, athletic clothing for their first class. Once they enroll, they’ll need a properly fitted gi (uniform), which we can help you acquire.

  • How often should my child attend classes?

    We recommend children attend classes 2–3 times per week to ensure consistent learning and progress. However, the schedule is flexible to accommodate your family’s needs.

  • Do you have programs for beginners?

    Absolutely! Both our Little Sloths BJJ and Adult BJJ are beginner-friendly. Our instructors focus on making the learning process comfortable, enjoyable, and accessible for new students.

  • Can parents watch their kids train?

    Yes, parents are welcome to observe classes. We encourage families to be involved and see firsthand the progress and skills their child is developing.

  • How do I sign up for a free trial class?

    Signing up for a free trial is easy! Simply contact us through our website, social media, or give us a call, and we’ll help you schedule a class that works best for you or your child.

  • Do I need to be in shape to join the adult classes?

    Not at all! Our Adult BJJ is open to all fitness levels, and our instructors will help you build strength, flexibility, and endurance over time. Your journey starts wherever you are right now.
